Engagement!

I have been home for November. 

I have spent time with my family and friends, worked to receive funds, and received donations to cover the remainder of my financial needs. Praise the Lord for that! 

Preparation for the Philippines has gone well. I leave in 2 days (December 4th). Though I am already longing to be back in Haiti, I have peace. 

Your prayers will be needed over the coming weeks and months as I adjust to a new culture and community. Here I go. 

God has shown His faithfulness over and over in my life. He fills every need, often before I know of it. 

In the same way, He was preparing my and Nelson’s hearts for each other before we even met. God knew I would need strong support beside me to live out a full-time missionary life in Haiti. 

After two years of ministry side by side and getting to know each other, as well as each other's families, on October 25th I happily accepted Nelson’s proposal. 

Nelson and I have yet to make wedding plans and are currently waiting on God for provision to begin building our first home down the road from the orphanage that I live and work at. 

We greatly appreciate your prayers during this long period of separation.
