Why Does Espwa Demen Need A Mission House?
This year several of our high school graduates from our sponsorship program are seeking to enter trade school through our scholarship program. However, several of them are from small faming communities far from a trade school or university!
In order to remedy this problem we desire to rent a three bedroom house for our mission team and graduate students to live while they are furthering their education. This home will be a safe space for our students to live and study during their secondary schooling semesters. Once graduated they will return home to seek for a job in their field.
Additionally this winter we desire to resume international team to Haiti once or twice yearly. The first team will go to Haiti next January for a pastoral training conference with the Chevri church leaders. Putting a team of 8-10 adults in a hotel for a week or more would be expensive. So, the house would serve as a base for missionaries and visitors alike to be used year round on various occasions.
What is Needed?
Renting a three bedroom house in the safe city of Hinche, near the trade school and university, will cost around $4,000 USD for the year. Rent is paid in advance year by year. We hope to search for the specific house and make the deal by the end of September when classes will start in Haiti.
We Can’t Do it Without You!
Any amount you give will be a huge blessing to Espwa Demen Mission and our growing number of graduated students who are headed off to trade school. Your generosity can motivate friends, family, and colleagues to contribute as well. We cannot do it without you! If you aren’t able to give financially, you can still be a part of meeting this need. Sharing this page with others, spreading the word, and keeping the mission in your prayers can each go a long way to helping.
