A Most Radical Love Story

He came in to the brokenness to save us

Left His throne on high in heaven for us

He gave up his glory for us

Took on the pain of death and abandonment for us

We hated, He loved

While we mocked, He cared

We ran, He patiently pursued

His red blood washed away the stains on our hearts

His purity made us pure

Though He did it all for us we hated Him

He was patient

Is patient still

Waiting for us to come to Him

What kind of love is this?

How great a love is His?

We do not deserve the grace that He gives

Yet He gives it still

His sacrifice is our healing

His wounds our salvation

We need only choose Him

He's already chosen us

This is a most radical love story

Jesus Radical Love For Us

"I'll love you if you love me back", say modern day lovers. "I'll care for you if you care for me, and if one day you stop, I'll stop too." This is the reason divorce is so wide spread in America in 2025. Love has become cheap. Rather than a choice we make it about feelings. About giving each other what we deserve and withholding what we don't.

Jesus love is different. It's radical. It's unconditional. It cannot be earned or bought by good deeds. Or lost because of bad behavior. His love is so... unlike ours.

Do You Love Him Back?

The Father's love extends to all. Like a father with arms open wide he draws near and waits for us to come. He loves us regardless, it is up to us if we will love Him back.

I know traditionally Valentine's Day posts are abut romantic love, tips for a great date, gift ideas for your earthly love. All of those things are fine and good, but I would like to ask you something different this February 14th.

My question is this, "do you love Him back"? Because ultimately the taste of chocolates will fade from your mouth, the vase of flowers will wilt and die, your spouse will grow old and leave your arms, but Jesus, Jesus is forever.

Do you love Him?

“Riches take wings, comforts vanish, hope withers away, but love stays with us. Love is God.” ~ Lew Wallace
